Your baby’s brain is developing at an amazing rate, so our infant nursery is all about brain development. In our infant program, we teach tummy time for social bonding and physical development and baby sign language to help your child communicate their needs. Your primary caregiver will help your baby progress through important developmental milestones while working closely with you to provide consistency with feeding, playing and sleeping schedules.

My name is Danielle Johnson and I am the Center Director for Foundations Early Learning Center in Winston-Salem, NC. I am from Tarboro, NC and I moved to Winston-Salem in 2002 after graduating from high school.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Birth to Kindergarten Education with a concentration in Administration and Leadership and a minor in Business. I have my North Carolina Early Childhood Credential, and my North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential – Level III.
I have been working in child care for 12 years. I first started in this field teaching infants, toddlers and preschoolers. While teaching, I began to transition myself to learning more about the business while still being able to serve children. My mission is to educate, nurture and support children, in addition to working with families. I strive every day to be their advocate, teacher, and inspiration.
I enjoy reading, traveling, watching sports, shopping, volunteering, and spending time with my son and family.
My daughter is learning and developing more and more each day. I can come to work with confidence that my daughter is safe and well taken care of each day. As a single mom it is very important to me to have reliable and safe childcare. Now that my daughter is here, I am able to work with a peace of mind.
My husband and I are very pleased with the care our son receives at Foundations. He is thriving there, and we love to see how excited he is to see his teachers and buddies each day. It is such a comforting feeling each day to know that your child is truly cared for, and that is what we have found at Foundations.
I cannot say enough how much my family loves and trusts Foundations Early Learning Center. As a working mom, it's hard to be apart from my children, but my kids simply love it there. The older one especially runs to his classroom in excitement each day, and I feel 100% confident they are receiving the same level of love and care they get at home. We are so thankful to the FELC family.
