Your baby’s brain is developing at an amazing rate, so our infant nursery is all about brain development. In our infant program, we teach tummy time for social bonding and physical development and baby sign language to help your child communicate their needs. Your primary caregiver will help your baby progress through important developmental milestones while working closely with you to provide consistency with feeding, playing and sleeping schedules.

Our preschool curriculum is focused on providing your child with a solid foundation in the skills needed for Kindergarten and beyond. The preschool years are a time of great creativity and social growth. Our teachers focus on introducing structure and routine, while facilitating fun activities that develop your child’s language and literacy, math, science, creativity, Spanish and social skills.
Our Pre-Kindergarten program prepares your child for the adventures of kindergarten. With a careful balance of freedom and instruction, your child will participate in interesting learning activities in language, math, science, social studies, Spanish, music and art, with a special emphasis on STEAM. Special focus is also given to building your child’s social and emotional development, language and literacy, executive function and creativity.

Hello! My name is Sarah Cox and I am excited to be a part of the Foundations Early Learning Center Team! I have been working in education for 6 years, advocating for educational funding for families, teaching elementary school for grades 2, 3 & 4 in Orangeburg, SC, and within early childhood learning centers. I enjoyed being immersed in the world of literacy, intervention, and curriculum! I am happy to work with teachers and children, helping them gain the knowledge and confidence necessary to be successful.
I have dual Bachelors Degrees as well as dual minors with an emphasis in Spanish. I am attending Graduate School for a Masters in Education where I currently have a 4.0 GPA! I always look forward! In my free time I enjoy reading, DIY projects, spending time at the beach surfing, and taking my dogs to the James Island County Dog Park! What I enjoy most about working with children is the reminder of how amazing and exciting the world can be. It makes me a happier and more positive person to be able to see the potential of the world through a child’s eyes.
My daughter is learning and developing more and more each day. I can come to work with confidence that my daughter is safe and well taken care of each day.
We could not be happier. LO loves her teachers, is eating foods she never ate at home, and we have seen a tremendous boost in her vocabulary and an increased ability in advocating for herself. We love the Foundations app, which allows us insight into her day and the activities she is participating in. We are happy to be members of the Foundations Family.
It is such a comforting feeling each day to know that your child is truly cared for, and that is what we have found at Foundations.
